Artist Statement
After a career in public Museums and Art Galleries I started to make pots. My last project whilst still working was to develop York Art Gallery creating CoCA, (Centre of Ceramic Art) which opened in 2015. Seeing all the wonderful pots in CoCA has inspired my own work.
I concentrate on handbuilding and use a variety of techniques and coloured slips to decorate them. I sometimes make sculptural pieces but mainly I produce one - off decorative pieces including bowls, dishes, plates and plant pots. I have two ranges at the moment 'Stoneflow' and 'Tanglewood’.
