Sara Boyle - 59

Location: Darley Abbey, DERBY / Genre: Figurative and Portrait Artist

Artist Statement

Sara’s work is mainly figurative and portrays narratives of female emotions. The paintings she creates become metaphors that shape candid journeys of love, foretell the beauty of conflicts and explore the passage/passing of girl to woman and motherhood. Through these works she is hoping to produce many sequences of paintings that explore, connect and convey thoughts about “What it really means to be female”

During Sara’s career she has received training in a variety of disciplines and has learned contrasting techniques. Today, she is equipped with a mixed bag of knowledge that very much lives on in her work. She is a female artist that is diverse and not tied to a particular methodology or rule of thinking, giving her the freedom to continue to explore.

Welcoming commissions for child portraits, her portraits can be drawings, paintings or mixed media pieces. For further information please look through her website or Etsy shop for samples and prices. She occasionally blogs and has more work for you to explore on her online gallery at saraboyle.com
