Artist Statement
I create textile collages. Ideas for the textile collages come from my sketchbooks and altered books, some of which will be on display. Broadly the sketchbook themes are travel, the seasons and space. From these I create pictures, wall hangings, fabric postcards and fabric books. I use traditional and contemporary embroidery techniques on mostly leftover fabrics and customise old and new boxes to store some of them in.
